This ep is a result of an evening session conducted in 2020. It mixes rhythmic patterns of the previous full length Thuoom album Luonto with the sounds of a live performance at Ambient Evening "Lux Archipelago" November 22nd, 2019 where Thuoom, using exclusively nature field recordings, performed alongside other musicians. The resulting sounds are more ambient-y than rhythmic, hence the use of moniker Thuuooom.

As the other full-length album released on the same day (Natur under the monicker Thuuooom, available here) the sounds on this record consist 100% of nature field recordings. The recordings contain mostly birds but you can also hear bumblebees, deer, fishes mating, hints of human voices, small insects, sounds of walking through forest, wind, and windchime. Some of the tracks stay faithful to the sounds heard in nature (albeit in edited form), others mutate them into proper forestelektro.

Thuoom is back from studio hiatus with his 7th full-length album, Organism. The sounds used on this record consist 100% of glitches. More precisely, the original sounds were produced by misusing a sound card and manipulating signal live during a practice session, soundcheck, and live performance (Ambient Evening Trashure Islands, Parainen, Finland) in November 2018. For the album, these sounds were then further mutated in a true Thuoom fashion.

Live Enhanced (#06/2017.5.18/ae7) features the full live show Thuoom played at Ambient Evening 7 in Parainen, Finland on May 18th, 2017. As usual for these evenings, Thuoom performed simultaneously with other artists but for this record, there's no trace of other artists' sounds. The sounds on this release have been processed to get a richer overall sound but the underlying performance has been left untouched.

Alongside the mp3s, there is a limited edition of physical CDR's that will only be available at live shows.

Thuoom - Circadian

Circadian is the sixth full-length album under name Thuoom. The starting point was an hour-long live improvisation played in a cave (Ambient Evening 6, Parainen, Finland). During this event, Tuomo did an a cappella piece while Barque Sound Experiment (aka BSE) played synthesizers. While for most of the tracks there are no hints of synths, two tracks feature BSE sounds extensively. Nevertheless, Tuomo considers this his first a cappella full-length. The end result features more relaxed ambient sounds than the previous release, Fokus.

Instruments used on this record: Human voice alongside Arturia Microbrute Analog Synthesizer & Korg MS-2000, all echoing in a cave.

The fifth Thuoom full-length, Fokus, is filled with rhythmic songs soaked in IDM influences, and at places the record is the most playful Thuoom has ever been. With these songs Tuomo used a more layered approach than before and more than half of the songs employ sine waves. Furthermore, there are three songs where the beat has been formed by manipulated beatboxing.

Kaiut is the third full-length Thuuooom album, representing the more ambient side of Tuomo. These songs were created in January and February 2014 but many of the samples date to 2013. Consequently, the album features longer tracks than usual for Tuomo, the combined length of these 6 tracks clocking over one hour.

Thuoom is back with the third full-length called Through This Dark Rain. For this album, Thuoom tried to reinvent himself, either by using sounds or processes he hadn't used before. As result, the album has the signature dream-like Thuoom sound in its core but also spirals into uncharted territories and emotional abstract soundscapes. Even though the songs have been crafted basically in two relatively short periods of one month and one week, respectively, the process also included a maturing period of two and a half years. In the end, we have what is most likely the most mature output by Thuoom so far.

Uinua is the follow-up to Thuuooom's 2008 debut ambient album Aava.
